In May, Stern Rubber Company sent a team to visit our customer, American Valve and Hydrant in Beaumont, Texas; to accept the Supplier of the Year Award in the Molded Rubber Category for excellence in delivery and quality. American Valve and Hydrant gives this award to one supplier in each of their purchasing categories. Stern won with a score of 100% in quality and 100% on-time delivery.
Since 2003, Stern has been winning awards with American Valve and Hydrant, we also won awards for Supplier of the Year in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. That is ten years in a row and eleven total of winning the supplier of the year molded rubber category.
Since 1969, Stern Rubber Company has been a leader in the molded rubber industry; This custom rubber molding company was formed by Terrel Stern and his father Donovan Stern in Savage, Minnesota, and moved to Staples, Minnesota in 1973. In our company history of molding rubber products, Stern Rubber Company is the only manufacturer of custom rubber products, offering creative solutions and strategic partnerships to innovative companies in North America who want to lead their industries in a fiercely competitive market.
Stern Rubber has three locations, one facility dedicated to molding products for American Valve and Hydrant and Waterous located in Aitkin, Minnesota. We have a bonding process and three rubber injection molding presses that produce rubber to metal bonded gate valves. We also produce rubber products at our main facility in Staples, which also includes compression molded valves and rubber gaskets.
Accepting the award from our buyers at American Valve and Hydrant was Sandy Mumm, Vice President of Operations, Mickey Farber, Customers Service Representative, Barry Hirschey, Sales Engineer and Rich Swearengin, Business Development and Marketing Manager.
